ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Touches by Tircuit is owned and operated by a talented and gifted black designer, Akeisha M. Tircuit . Also known as the “Jane of All Trades, Akeisha’s creativity Encompasses architecture, graphic design, jewelry design, wig and hair design. Akeisha was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is the oldest of 3 girls. Growing up in a household of 4 females, she learn how to do hair from her mother. After Graduating from high-school, she decided to attend Southern University of Baton Rouge. In 2008 Akeisha received a Bachelors Degree in Architecture and pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  Upon graduating, she had a job offer as an Architect in New Orleans, Louisiana. While in New Orleans, she practiced architecture and taught drafting and design courses at ITT Technical College. While working in the corporate world she knew there was something more she needed to fulfill. She knew she wanted to be able to touch lives and make people feel good. After the passing of her father, she decided she wanted to become an entrepreneur and make Tircuit a household name, so she started her brand in 2011 designing jewelry and hair wigs. Later, in 2014 she decided to step out on faith to follow her passion. She presumed an education in cosmetology at Aveda Institute. In 2015 she became a licensed stylist and started working in the field. In 2018, she became a salon owner and was able to provide job opportunities for 10 educated black women. Never losing sight of her architectural skills, she continues to follow a principle known as ”Form Follows Function” ... simply meaning however you form something, that’s how it will function. With this principal, hair design came very easy for her. She is able to lead and teach her stylist how to effectively produce masterpieces.
